Welcome to Nursery!
We ask that you check that your child’s name is clearly written on their jumper, bag, coat, hat etc to help us ensure everybody comes home with all their belongings.
In the winter please send your child in with a warm coat, gloves and a hat. Please send in labelled sun cream and sun hats in the summer.
We try and spend as much time as possible outside, even during the Welsh winter! We have wet weather gear available in school.
The children do not require a P.E kit in the Nursery.
The children have milk and snack daily. We are a health promoting school and therefore offer the children a range of healthy snacks throughout the week.
One of the key messages of the Foundation Phase is developing independence in children. After a few weeks, once the children have settled into their new school, they will take responsibility for finding their peg and hanging their coat and bag. There is many staff available to support the children if necessary. We also ask that the children give their snack money to the adult on the slope on a Monday morning/afternoon where possible.

Easter Egg Hunt
We joined with the children from Flying Start for an Easter inclusion day. We shared an Easter story, hunted for Easter eggs, had snack together and sang Spring time songs
We have been having lots of fun outdoors. The nursery children and staff have been busy setting up areas of learning outdoors.
Look at us having fun .
As the weather gets warmer please send your child with a sun hat which is clearly labelled. As the children take jumpers and cardigans off often, please ensure these are clearly labelled also. We often have a pile of red cardigans and jumpers left over at the end of a session!
Please can the children not wear open toe sandals as it can be a hazard in nursery.
For the first half term our topic is called ' How does this building stay up?' It is all about different types of buildings and construction.
For the second half of the term our topic is called : How many pebbles on the beach?
