Spring Term (2) – Cŵl Cymru – ‘Why do we have a dragon on our flag?’

9th May 2022

Our learning this term included listening to the story of ‘The Red Dragon’ to understand why we have a dragon on our Welsh flag! We enjoyed sequencing the story and describing dragons. We painted red dragons then looked at Austin’s Butterfly and how feedback improves our work.  Then we made second drafts of our paintings so we could make our work even better! We enjoyed dressing up for St. David’s Day and we also learned a traditional Welsh dance.

This term we supported lots of charities including Red Nose Day, The Ukraine Appeal and World Down's Syndrome Day.

We also celebrated World Book Day, Mother's Day and Easter.
