It's been a very busy half term in Year 6 so far

6th Mar 2019

It's been a very busy half term in Year 6 so far. We started the year by completing three weeks of work based around the theme of 'Cartoons'. All our language and topic work was based around this theme. We have also been busy doing 'Missions' in the afternoon, which is independent work based around our topic. All of us have really enjoyed doing these.

Our topic for the last few weeks has been 'Frozen Kingdom'. We've learned about the Titanic, icebergs, weather and wildlife as well as carrying on with our new missions.

We've had some great trips too to places like Pembrokeshire College for sport and for and 'Have-a-go Day' where we tried bricklaying, ceramics, construction and animation.

The rugby team have taken part in a tournament in Carmarthen playing some really great rugby and scoring super tries.

Mr vaughan and Miss Higgins are busy planning our next topic and Missions based on World War II. We'll be visiting the Carew Control Tower for the day which we're all looking forward to.
