Fenton Community Primary School, Haverfordwest, Wales

Welcome

Croeso, Welcome to our new school Web site and thank you for taking the time to find out what our school is all about.

Fenton Primary School caters for the children of Haverfordwest and the local areas between the ages of 3 and 11. Presently there are approximately 410 pupils at the school. The school has a nursery class accepting children, on a part time basis, as young as 3 years old and also a Flying Start playgroup on site. We have a 24 place Learning Resource Centre unit for pupils in both Key Stages. This unit is at the heart of the school and our LRC takes pupils from all over Pembrokeshire.

We are an English medium primary school and are committed to providing the highest standard of education and pastoral care to our children. They deserve the very best start in life and we aim to ensure that they are supported and nurtured from the moment that they enter the school.

We make every effort to teach children to be polite, friendly and helpful. We focus on encouraging our children to think about 3 R’s – To be Ready to learn, to take Responsibility for their learning and behaviour, to have Respect for their learning and for others.

We encourage children to be fit, strong and healthy with an enthusiasm for sport, music, the outdoors and for achieving their potential whatever that may be. We take great pride in providing exciting and varied learning experiences.

At Fenton Primary, we offer a Breakfast Club and an After School. Staff also run several clubs and activities for children including netball, football, rugby and orchestra for an hour after school.
