School Council
Fenton have a School Council with pupils representing their peers in each class from Reception to Year 6.
Being a councillor helps to develop skills such as confidence, communication and negotiation.
Class Council meetings take place each half term where all pupils have the opportunity to raise issues, share ideas and take part in discussions that involve all of their peers in reaching a democratic solution.
The School Council meet to discuss issues raised in their classes ensuring that as many pupils’ voices as possible are heard.
It gives pupils the opportunity to become more involved in the way the school is run, communicating their views and opinions as well as influencing decisions that are made within the school that affect them.
Fenton’s School Council is an ideal platform for ‘Pupil Voice’.
